What you’ll do at Deel
Deel is a global leader in enabling workforce mobility through innovative solutions. As we continue to scale, we are seeking a visionary and results-driven General Manager (GM) to lead and expand our Benefits business on behalf of our customers all over the world.
As General Manager of Benefits, you will report to the COO and lead the P&L and develop the strategic direction for our global benefits solutions. Your approach will help deliver and manage competitive benefits, solving complex international benefits challenges for our partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and drive P&L performance for the global Benefits business unit, optimizing costs and revenue across brokerage services.
Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to meet diverse customer needs across multiple employment types and geographies.
Partner with product teams to build scalable benefits solutions, focusing on multi-country coverage, cost efficiency, and streamlined administration.
Lead with data, using market insights and customer feedback to guide business decisions and product evolution.
Drive cross-functional alignment and execution, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams.
Champion the Benefits business unit's growth initiatives, including new market expansion and strategic carrier/vendor partnerships
Provide thought leadership on global benefits trends, including regulatory compliance, innovative benefit offerings, and strategic carrier partnerships
Optimize broker networks and carrier relationships to enhance benefit offerings while managing costs
Drive innovation in benefits technology integration and administration to improve user experience and operational efficiency
Act as a key decision-maker and advocate for the Benefits business within the broader organization.
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience across operations and/or human capital management
Demonstrated success scaling high-growth businesses and driving P&L performance at senior leadership level
Track record of leading complex, global teams in fast-paced, matrixed organizations
Strong domain expertise in HR tech, particularly in global benefits including brokerages, is highly valued.
Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and prioritize effectively.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams and levels of seniority.
Enthusiastic about joining Deel and contributing to the success of the Benefits business.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a high-growth technology company or startup environment.
Familiarity with workforce mobility solutions and adjacent industries.
