About the role

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Recruiter to build and lead our talent function. As a player-coach, this individual will be responsible for designing and executing talent acquisition strategies while mentoring and developing a high-performing talent team. Working closely with our founders, they’ll play a critical role in scaling our organization by attracting and hiring top-tier talent, fostering a culture of excellence, and establishing processes to support our long-term growth.

This role is based at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA or in New York City. Employees hired for this position will work in office Monday-Friday. If you are not currently located in one of these areas, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for employment.

What you’ll do with us

  • Act as a player-coach by directly recruiting for key roles while mentoring and developing a high-performing talent team.

  • Create and implement scalable processes for sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top-tier talent across diverse functions.

  • Partner with founders and leadership to understand hiring needs, define role requirements, and align talent acquisition strategies with business goals.

  • Analyze recruiting metrics to continuously optimize the talent acquisition process and ensure an excellent candidate experience.

  • Develop and maintain a strong employer brand to attract high-caliber candidates.

What will set you apart

  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting.

  • Proven success in scaling recruitment efforts for growing companies.

  • Expertise in sourcing and recruiting top-tier talent.

  • Strong understanding of recruiting tools and technology.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience in a venture startup environment preferred.
