Support the Director of Nursing and collaborate with the
Administrator as well as other leaders at the facility to ensure
the nursing department is following all processes and procedures
Creating schedules to ensure that departments have adequate
nursing coverage for every shift
Coaching nurses to improve performance and handling discipline issues
Monitoring expenses to ensure that the facility operates
within budgetary constraints
Holding staff meetings to discuss patient status
Conducting employee interviews that identify nurses'
strengths and areas of improvement
Making rounds to assess patient status and observe nursing team
Checking patient records to ensure they are accurate and up to dateβ
