The WGSN HR Coordinator provides assistance with and facilitates all HR processes and functions for the New York office. This person will interact with all Ascential brands and staff levels. Primarily, this role will provide administrative support to the HRBP and to the Office Manager as needed including: record-keeping, HRIS data entry, HRIS Reports, file maintenance (HR, I9, Disability, Proof of Employment, etc.) and special projects.  This role is the immediate contact for all staff on administration queries and will also act as a line manager's first point of call in employee-related matters.

Reports to:  HRBP

Primary functions:

  • HRIS Data Entry
  • Creates and maintains all HR related files – paper and electronic
  • Assists with the Performance Review and Bonus Payout Processes

·         Manage the onboarding and off boarding of employees including orientation, background checks and timely collection of new hire paperwork, exit interviews and termination paperwork/procedures

·          Function as a liaison between HR team and employees triaging matters as appropriate

·          Maintain employee personnel files, including federal I-9 Compliance and licensure verifications

·          Process all unemployment claims, workers’ compensation issues and any audits including monitoring compliance with all statutory and legal requirements

·          Other administrative duties and special projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • College Degree preferred
  • Prior experience/strong interest (HR Internships and summer jobs are OK!) in HR
  • Familiarity with WorkDay preferred
  • Must be exceptionally detail oriented
  • Superior organizational skills with proven ability to use good judgment
