What You Will Do/Need (Job Summary):
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment within the plant. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical skills and a solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices.
Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)
· Perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
· Repair and replace defective parts, components, and equipment as needed.
· Conduct inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and inventory of spare parts.
· Collaborate with other team members, including operators and supervisors, to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
· Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
· Position is responsible for performing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance is preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a steel processing or manufacturing environment.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
· Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
· Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
· Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
· Comfortable working in a noisy and industrial environment.
