Job Title: Payroll Specialist 

Job Description 

Payroll Specialist is primarily responsible for reconciling timecards, answering inquiries from employees, processing payroll, and maintaining the employee database.

Essential Functions: 

  • Process biweekly payroll for multi-state exempt and non-exempt employees following company guidelines and procedures
  • Gather timesheet data from timekeeping system (QGenda) and audit data to ensure compliance with company policy and federal and state laws
  • Process timely and accurate entry of payroll data
  • Prepares reports and analyze as required
  • Ensures completion of supplemental payments and other special payouts
  • Audits timesheets, child support, garnishments, 401(k) changes, W4 forms, salary changes and direct deposits each payroll process
  • Tracks paid time off and other benefits
  • Improve and develop payroll processes to ensure efficiency 
  • Assist with various reports, data entry and business activities

Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Payroll software experience preferred
  • 2 or more years-experience in payroll required
