We are excited to announce a dynamic new Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner opportunity with our well established non profit organization located in Manhattan. Our organization is one of the leading behavioral health providers in NYC and we are opening a new program aimed to serve patients who need a higher level of care.  As the psychiatric nurse practitioner, you would be working with a dedicated team of professionals to treat patients.  This position is open for full time or part time employment with a full comprehensive benefits package.  Full time is 35 hours per week.  Please see job specifics below.

Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Location: Manhattan NY

Salary: $145,000 to $160,000

Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, 403b Plan, malpractice, CME, PTO, vacation, sick leave

Responsibilities:

Performing psychiatric evaluations for adult patients suffering from more serious mental illness

Responsible for seeing 4-6 patients per day in Manhattan

Documenting notes in EMR system

Referring patients out for higher level of care if needed

Seeing patients in office or hospital settings

Involved in removals for patients who need hospitalization

Evaluated patients who are trying to get into more permanent housing 

Requirements:

Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Graduate of accredited psychiatric nurse practitioner program

Active New York PMHNP license

Good communication skills
