Compensation:

  • In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Role Summary

As an Technology Instructor I, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.

How you will Impact Change:

  • Provide instructional assistance in the use of Assistive Technology software, including but not limited to screen access programs, software that accesses Windows environment, Braille translation software, reading program for scanner system.
  • Implement classroom management techniques to keep students on-task while maintaining a professional instructional environment.
  • Write frequent and detailed tracking notes and required reports on each client including Monthly Student Progress Reports and Staffing Reports.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Works closely with, and is responsive to, staff members to insure effective services for students in the program.

Qualifications

Education and Credentials

  • An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • One year of experience working with clients with visual impairments is preferred.
